The Midtown Manor Vacation Home is an exquisite testament to Branch Brother Construction's unparalleled craftsmanship. Rescued from obscurity, this 1940s farmhouse underwent a remarkable transformation under BBC's skilled hands, emerging as a beacon of refined elegance.
From its humble origins, Midtown Manor was meticulously revitalized, beginning with a comprehensive strip-down to the original beams and studs. Each facet of the renovation process was well thought out and executed with precision, with the home's original character preserved while seamlessly integrating modern amenities.
There are three separate units: The Grove, The French Farmhouse, and The Victorian Story.
Descending into the basement, one is greeted by the Enchanted Forest-themed unit, a whimsical 2 bedroom / 1 bath retreat. The original basement lacked windows and housed an original coal heating system the size of a small VW car. It was disassembled, removed through the basement hatch, and 16” of soil removed to create a residential height ceiling. A sunken patio was excavated on the south wall, and a floor to ceiling folding patio door was installed for all day beautiful sunlight.
Ascending to the ground level reveals the French Provincial-themed unit, 3 bedroom / 2 bath each exuding an air of timeless sophistication. Finally, atop this architectural marvel lies the Antique Victorian Library-themed unit, a sanctuary of literary charm featuring one 1 bedroom / 1 bath.
Connecting these distinct realms is a masterfully crafted spiral staircase, while overhead, a cupola bathes the interiors in ethereal sunlight, filtering through opaque stairwell windows, lending an enchanting ambiance to every level. The staircase is one of very few in Central Oregon and even drew the attention of the City of Bend inspectors, all of whom presented as a group to view the architectural rarity.
